I first photographed the Vearncombe family in 2013 when they were a family of 3 with their son Zander being just a toddler. Fast forward to this autumn, Zander is now 4 and this is the latest addition to their family – gorgeous Thea! This first image is one of my favourite photographs of the year I think, such a lovely calm expression and her eyes are just stunning.

We met early on a beautiful morning in September in Nonsuch Park, the sun was shining and the leaves were just starting to turn. We spent some time in the formal gardens where there is such a variety of areas and backdrops for photographs and lots of paths to run up and down, trees to climb and places to explore for the kids. Then we headed out into the more open part of the park with the long grass and big skies. It’s a really great set of family images and I look forward to seeing how they display them in their home.
